Green revolution at the company: TMETAL is building a photovoltaic power plant for its own consumption
TMETAL has decided to invest in renewable energy and has taken a strategic step to install a photovoltaic power plant on the roofs of its buildings. This photovoltaic system has a capacity of 262 kWp and is equipped with an energy storage system with a capacity of 242 kWh. The primary objective of this project is to use solar energy for the company’s own operational consumption and to optimize the electricity supply for its business activities.
The installation of the photovoltaic plant represents a key step toward sustainability and reducing dependence on traditional, non-renewable energy sources. Using solar energy is environmentally friendly and helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the company’s overall environmental footprint.
Thanks to the storage system, the company will be able to use the generated energy efficiently even when sunlight is insufficient. This increases self-sufficiency and independence from traditional electricity suppliers, which can lead to significant long-term savings.
The company decided to make use of available grants to support renewable energy when implementing this project, thereby reducing the costs associated with investing in the photovoltaic system.
By investing in photovoltaics, TMETAL has demonstrated its commitment to renewable energy and efforts to reduce its environmental footprint. This step also contributes to the long-term sustainability of its business operations and reinforces its position as a socially responsible company.
Project 'Photovoltaic system with storage for TMETAL facilities', registration number CZ.31.3.0/0.0/0.0/22_001/0001086 is co-financed by the European Union.
The project’s goal is the installation of a photovoltaic power plant (including storage) to serve the applicant’s own consumption. By using renewable energy sources, the supply of electricity for business operations will be optimized.
