At TMETAL, we have manufactured and pre-assembled another steel structure for film production technology, this time for a customer in the United Kingdom. This 30-ton structure included complete manufacturing, structural works, and a trial pre-assembly at our facility.
Films surround us in everyday life. But how is such a film actually produced? The process is based on extrusion – plastic granulate is heated and extruded into the shape of a thin film. After extrusion, the emerging film requires time and space for cooling, shaping, and stabilization. It is precisely the height and accuracy of the steel structure that enable the manufacturer to achieve uniform film thickness, improved mechanical properties, and higher production speed.
Here is a glimpse from the pre-assembly phase, where we once again verified that everything fits precisely and the structure is ready for smooth final installation at the customer’s site.
