We have manufactured the steel structure for the construction of the Hinkley_C nuclear power station in Somerset, UK. The 3200 MW two-reactor power station was originally scheduled to open in 2017, but construction has been delayed and is now costing more than £22,5 billion and is expected to be completed in the next five years.

It is the UK’s first next-generation power station and the largest construction project in the UK, employing 4500 workers and spanning an area the size of 245 football pitches. When complete, it will contain 3 million tonnes of concrete and 50 tonnes of steel.

Our delivery includes towers, platforms, gangways and vertical conveyors that transport the excavated material to the surface via a vertical lift.
